Are you a Ph.D. Student? Think you can describe your research and its importance in three minutes? Register for the 2022 3MT Competition, presented by the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries. Registration ends Monday, February 14, 5:00 p.m. ET.
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an internationally recognized competition that challenges Ph.D. students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes, in language that anyone can understand. 3MT is not an exercise in trivializing or ‘dumbing-down’ research, but requires students to consolidate their ideas, crystallize their research discoveries, and capture the imagination of their audience.
Who's eligible to compete?
CMU doctoral candidates of every level. Come one, come all.
Meet peers from around CMU and hear about what they're doing. Very good chance to win research/travel grants or technology prizes, and gain early career recognition!

All 3MT registrants will be scheduled to compete in preliminary rounds from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. in The Den at Sorrells Library, beginning Monday, February 21 and concluding Wednesday, March 16.
