  1. Invite a member of the Open at CMU team to come talk to your lab, research group, class, or department about Open Research
  2. Claim your ORCiD, your free unique researcher ID
  3. Increase the impact of your work by sharing one article, dataset, or educational resource in KiltHub, CMU’s open repository
  4. Search to see if you can publish open access in your preferred journals using the new search tool
  5. Learn how to code in an open source programming language
  6. Select a Creative Commons license for some type of output (article, image, video, dataset, etc) to enable other people to reuse it
  7. Attend a Libraries’ Workshop on an open tool and/or method
