To ensure that the physical spaces of the libraries continue to enhance the quality of the CMU student experience, the University Libraries is seeking input on possible future changes to ur food policy. We know there are many sides to this issue, and so we are seeking the input of the community on this topic. Please fill out our “Food in the Libraries” survey before October 31, 2017.
The water for Hunt Library will be shut down on Monday, 9/25, at 4:30PM until Tuesday, 9/26, at approximately 8:00AM. This shutdown is required in order to replace one of the main valves in the CFA Lawn. All water in the building will be affected during this shutdown.
Please refrain from using any restrooms in the facility during this time. Restrooms are available for use in Baker Hall and the College of Fine Arts.
RIPM is an international, highly annotated database with detailed content analysis of writings on musical history and culture between 1800-1950. It currently indexes the contents of 140 music periodicals and offers more than 5,000 English-language translations of articles from journals in other languages.

Effective September 1, 2017, food is no longer allowed on the fourth floor. Beverages will continue to be allowed on the fourth floor. Food and beverages can still be consumed on all other floors.
CB Insights is a comprehensive global database of private companies and investors activities. Contains advanced searches for private companies, investors, and deals information (especially private equity and venture capital). Also great for news on emerging markets. An excellent resource for startups and entrepreneurship research. (NOTE: You must create an account using your CMU email).
Introducing a new way to find out about Library events, workshops, and exhibits. When you visit our homepage, you'll now be able to find an "Events and Workshops" link in our Quick Links section. Click there to get a sortable calendar view of all of our upcoming events. You can filter by location and type of event (exhibit, workshop, etc) and search by keyword. That's also where you can now register for our workshops and add events to your own calendar with iCal.
Hundreds of students pass through Hunt Library on any given day. But how many of them really think about the building they’re in?
The Posner Center will be closed to the public from May 26 - July 16, 2017.
The University Libraries have installed two Bloomberg Terminals in the libraries (one at Hunt and one at Sorrells).
Trial the following databases:
