Lecture: Libraries Supporting Learning and Life

Screengrab of Dean Webster webinar

Speaking as part of the Alumni Association's Faculty Dialogues series, Dean of Libraries Keith Webster recently gave an online talk, "Online, but Never Remote: Libraries Supporting Learning and Life," that presented how the University Libraries have supported the shift to online education and off-campus research by employing a vast array of digital information resources and mechanisms for providing access to printed books and non-digital media.

He also highlighted how alumni can benefit from some of these resources, delivered through the Libraries and from the network of public libraries that serve communities around the world.

It was the second recent event Dean Webster presented in partnership with the Alumni Association. His April 17 lecture, "Carnegie & Education: His Legacy in the 21st Century," was part of the online programming for Carnival Weekend. University Archivist Julia Corrin also participated in Carnival Weekend with her webinar, "Then and Now: Featuring Memories from the Class of 1970."
