Undergraduate Students

From personalized, one-on-one consultations with our librarians, to in-depth research guides on hundreds of subjects, the Libraries connects you with the resources you need to excel in the classroom.

Find Your Librarian

Our librarians are information specialists with extensive knowledge of disciplinary information sources and methods. They are the primary contact between the Libraries and your department. Turn to them for assistance finding a book, article or database; completing a research assignment; or to navigate the range of Libraries resources available to you.

Research Guides

Created and maintained by our librarians and information specialists, our research guides curate resources across disciplines for specific topics and course information. Browse by group, subject, course, or librarian/specialist.

Use Library Spaces

Borrow from Another Institution

If you need access to materials that CMU does not own, you may be able to request materials from other institutions using the ILLiad or E-Z Borrow Services.

Technology Lending

The Libraries maintains a growing collection of devices for you to borrow, including adapters, cameras, charging cables, iPads, headphones, music foot pedals, projectors, tripods, and more.

Video Tutorials

Video tutorials created by Libraries staff and faculty walk you through how to use our services, step by step.

Workshops & Training

Have you ever wanted to learn a skill, but haven’t found the time? Interested to learn more about library resources, straight from a librarian? Workshops at the Libraries are designed to help attendees learn a new skill, deepen their understanding of a specific topic, or gain exposure to an unfamiliar technology, tool, or technique.
