  • The final phase of the Reclassification Project: Hunt Library, 4th floor.

  • Arts & Special Collections (HL4) will be CLOSED to library users for 6 weeks.

  • Arts & Special Collections will RE-OPEN on Monday, June 30.

Most arts books and CDs will be AVAILABLE through a paging service (24-hour turnaround time), Monday-Friday.

  • Items will be paged on a set schedule, M-F.

    Send your request form by email to artsref@andrew.cmu.edu, or submit a printed form at the Hunt circulation desk, or call 412-268-2452 with your request.

    Circulation will notify you when items are ready for pick-up.

    Temporarily relocated to Hunt Library, 3rd floor (unbound journals).


  • Arts reference service
    Questions will be taken centrally and answered ASAP.

    Contact librarians and staff as needed.

The Dewey to LC Transformation began last summer in the Engineering and Science Library. By mid-summer, Hunt Library was also being transformed. Besides making the big change to LC classification, group study rooms were constructed in Hunt and E&S, and dozens more electrical outlets were added. The popular EnergyPod nap pod was also introduced, tucked into a corner of the Maggie Murph Cafe. details + pix
