Transformation 2008
Conclusion of the library's Dewey to LC Reclassification Project

Open for business!

Arts and Special Collections (Hunt Library, 4th floor) is open for business as usual.

Aspects of the Dewey to LC Transformation project are still going on, but WE ARE OPEN!

If you need any help finding books in the new LC arrangement, ask at any reference desk, the audio & visual resources desk, or Hunt Library circulation.

NOTE: Non-circulating special collections materials (Fine & Rare Book Room, Posner Center, etc.) were not converted to LC and are still arranged in the Dewey Decimal classification.

Thanks for your patience

The Dewey to LC Transformation began last summer in the Engineering and Science Library. By mid-summer, Hunt Library was also being transformed. Besides making the big change to LC classification, group study rooms were constructed in Hunt and E&S, and dozens more electrical outlets were added. The popular EnergyPod nap pod was also introduced, tucked into a corner of the Maggie Murph Cafe. details + pix
