The Witches: Salem, 1692 by Stacy Schiff is an exhaustive (and at times, exhausting) account of the accusations, imprisonment, trials and executions of fourteen women and five men. It’s a story we all think we know, but Schiff places us in this world so completely, we can feel the chilly air and hear the howling of dogs at night. In recognition of the 200th anniversary of "Frankenstein" in 2018, next semester's Posner Center intern will research and install a Spring 2018 exhibit in the Posner Center on "Frankenstein" themes, showing how the novel is relevant to CMU today. The water for Hunt Library will be shut down on Monday, 9/25, at 4:30PM until Tuesday, 9/26, at approximately 8:00AM. This shutdown is required in order to replace one of the main valves in the CFA Lawn. All water in the building will be affected during this shutdown.
Please refrain from using any restrooms in the facility during this time. Restrooms are available for use in Baker Hall and the College of Fine Arts.
RIPM is an international, highly annotated database with detailed content analysis of writings on musical history and culture between 1800-1950. Effective September 1, 2017, food is no longer allowed on the fourth floor. Beverages will continue to be allowed on the fourth floor. Food and beverages can still be consumed on all other floors.

Click there to get a sortable calendar view of all of our upcoming events. You can filter by location and type of event (exhibit, workshop, etc) and search by keyword. That's also where you can now register for our workshops and add events to your own calendar with iCal.
