CMU Libraries is proud to be a Bronze Certificate holder with Scotty Goes Green.
The Libraries' Green Team led the effort, enlisting four Pittsburgh campus library locations ("offices") to participate. The team performed an audit of sustainable practices in Hunt, Mellon and Sorrells libraries, and the digital processing lab/storage facility at Penn Ave. The survey confirmed that—with Libraries' current green practices in energy, transportation & commuting, kitchen, events, recycling, reduction/reuse and purchasing—all locations met the standard for Bronze certification.
Having earned Bronze, the Green Team has now set its sights on achieving the Silver Certificate.
