Managing your online profile as a new scholar can increase the visibility of your research to potential collaborators, employers and the media. If you’re not sure where to begin with tools like ResearchGate, ORCID and Twitter, then this workshop is for you.
In this workshop we’ll cover:
ORCID and other author IDs to distinguish yourself and your research from other scholars
Best practices in using social media to promote your research
Where and how to deposit scholarly outputs for maximum impact
Various tools to measure the impact of your work
This workshop is appropriate for graduate students and faculty looking to improve their online visibility as scholars. No prior experience is required. Please bring a laptop.
