E-Reserves
The University
Libraries will begin to make reserve materials accessible on the web in fall
2000. In the initial phase of this program, we can make the following types
of materials available to your students:
-
journal articles
-
lecture notes
-
tests
-
problem sets
You must give
us your reserve materials at least four weeks before the semester
begins to be guaranteed they'll be available for the start of
classes. Materials received as Word files or in PDF format are preferred,
as they can be processed for web access most easily. Access to online reserve
materials will be restricted by IP address.

Overdue, Lost or Damaged Reserves
Overdue fines
for course reserves are $.50 per hour per item. If an overdue item is not
returned within seven days, it is presumed lost and we begin the process to
replace it. For a lost or damaged reserve item, you must pay the cost of the
replacement plus a $50 processing fee, a $5 billing fee, and the accumulated

Putting Items on Course Reserve
Course
Reserves Request:
Print request form, and fill out one form per course.
More
About Web-Accessible Reserves:
Submitting materials for electronic reserve (what and
how).
Faculty members,
instructors and TAs can request that items be put on reserve for their classes
using the Request menu in Cameo.
Find the item that you want to put on reserve in the library catalog, select
Request and choose "Place Academic Reserve." Fill in the information
to identify your course, and circulation staff will put the material on
reserve as you request.
You can also
order new materials to be put on reserve. If you don't find the item in
the library catalog, request "Place Academic Reserve" and fill
out complete information for the material. Your request will be processed
as a rush order for reserve.
If desired,
you can also put personal photocopies or personal copies of books on reserve.
Use reserve request forms, available at any circulation desk, to put personal
(non-library) items on reserve.
You may add
items to your course reserves at any time.
