Philosopher's Index is a bibliographic database with author abstracts. The Philosopher's Index covers scholarly research in the fifteen fields of philosophy published in journals and books since 1940.

The Philosopher's Index covers more than 480 journals from 38 countries. It features informative author-written abstracts; complete coverage of all major articles written in English, Spanish, German, Italian and French; and additional citations in Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. The Philosopher's Index also completely covers international scholarly philosophy articles from anthologies and books written in English and other languages.

Topics include the major fields of philosophy, such as aesthetics, axiology, epistemology, ethics, logic (including mathematics), metaphysics (including philosophy of mind, existentialism and phenomenology), philosophical anthropology, philosophy (including metaphilosophy), political philosophy (including philosophy of law) and social philosophy. Also covered are the philosophy of education, history, language, science and religion.
