ARTstor

ARTstor is a digital image library containing approximately 300,000 images pertaining to art, architecture and archeology. ARTstor provides software tools that enable active use of the collections as well as the ability to save groups of images online for personal and classroom use. Some general and specialized collections in ARTstor include:
- The Image Gallery: A general collection of approximately 2 00,000 images fairly representative of teaching needs in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
- The Art History Survey Collection: A collection of nearly 4,000 images defined on the basis of an "overlap concordance" based on 13 standard art history survey texts.
- The Hartill Archive of Architecture and Allied Arts: Consisting of nearly 17,000 images, documenting the architectural history of the Western world from antiquity to present.
- The Illustrated Bartsch: Approximately 57,000 images of Old Master European prints
- The Carnegie Arts of the United States Collection: Approximately 4,500 images of American art and architecture
- The Huntington Archive of Asian Art: Approximately 12,000 images of Asian art.
- The Mellon International Dunhuang Archive: High-quality digital images of the Buddhist cave grottoes in Dunhuang , China
- The Museum of Modern Art Architecture and Design Collection: Approximately 8,000 images from MoMA’s Department of Architecture and Design
- Native American Art and Culture from the National Anthropological Archives, Smithsonian Institution: Approximately 10,000 images made from historic photographs documenting Native American subjects.
Use of content in ARTstor is restricted to that which is noncommercial, educational, and scholarly in nature and is subject to Terms and Conditions of Use appearing on ARTstor’s web site. Users should familiarize themselves with permitted uses.
