- American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
Organization of professional engineers which focuses on studying materials, structures, codes and operations in order to find the best way to use resources to control hazards and provide protection for the public.
- Consortium for Risk Evaluation with Stakeholder Participation (CRESP)
University-based national organization created specifically to develop a credible strategy for providing the information needed for risk-based clean-up of complex contaminated environments, especially those for which the Department of Energy is responsible.
- Federal Focus, Inc.
Nonprofit foundation that was formed for the purpose of providing nonpartisan research and analysis of broad policy and technical issues associated with operations of the Executive Branch of the Federal government. Some areas of research focus on federal procurement of materials and services, and health, safety, and environmental risk assessment.
- National Safety Council
Nonprofit, nongovernmental, international public service organization dedicated to improving the safety, health and environmental well-being of all people. Maintains statistics on accidents and publishes the Journal of Safety Research.
- Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI)
Resource center and clearinghouse for information and guidance in risk management.
- Society for Risk Analysis (SRA)
Fosters professional collaboration in the use of state-of-the-art methods in risk analysis.
- World Health Organization (WHO)
