Private, independent, nonprofit research organization that deals with public policy issues, including foreign policy. Policy briefs, press releases, etc.
- Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
Foundation which conducts programs of research, discussion, publication, and education in international affairs and U.S. foreign policy.
- Center for Nonproliferation Studies (Monterey Institute International Studies)
- Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBT)
- Federation of American Scientists
Privately funded nonprofit policy organization, which is involved with analysis and advocacy of science, technology and public policy for global security.
- Henry L. Stimson Center
Independent, nonprofit public policy research institution which concentrates on national and international security issues. Reports, transcripts of electronic conferences, links to other sites, etc.
- Hoover Institute on War, Revolution and Peace (Stanford University)
Public policy research center concentrating on domestic and international affairs.
- Human Rights Resource Center
- International Atomic Energy Agency
- International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War
International group of national physicians' organizations dedicated to safeguarding health by preventing war.

- North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO)
- Project on Defense Alternatives (PDA)
Offers analysis of US defense policy and global security issues. The Project also maintains a variety of Internet libraries on international security issues.
- Stockholm International Peace Institute (SIPRI)
Conducts research on conflict and cooperation. Statistics, facts sheets, conference proceedings, links to other sites, etc.
