- EcoNet (Institute for Global Communications)
Information on political activism on environmental issues.
- EnviroLink Network: The Online Environmental Community

- Environmental Council of the States (ECOS)
National nonprofit, nonpartisan association of state and territorial environmental commissioners. Policy statements, projects, links to state environmental organizations, etc.
- Friends of the Earth (FOE)
Environmental campaigns, press releases, publications, job opportunities, links to Environmental Information Services on the Net
- Greenpeace.org
Independent organization which uses "non-violent, creative confrontation" to bring attention to environmental problems. Reports, press releases, links to other sites.
- National Institute for the Environment
Provides extensive data on all areas of the environment in its online National Library for the Environment.
- Resources For The Future (RFF)
Nonprofit, nonpartisan organization which does independent research on environmental and natural resource issues. News briefs, discussion papers, etc.
- Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC)
Independent, nonprofit professional society that provides a forum for individuals and institutions engaged in all types of environmental issues. Publications, activities, professional opportunities, etc.
- Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research (SEER)
Promotes Carnegie Mellon's core academic strengths and advance emerging interests to identify and create research and education opportunities for our faculty and students; across all schools and majors.
- United Nations Environment Programme
Texts of conventions, information on programs, environmental data sets, links to other sites.
- World Resources Institute
Independent center for policy research and technical assistance on all environmental issues. Reports, news releases, links to other sites.
- World Water Council
Nonprofit, nongovernmental organization devoted to long-term global water policy issues.
