Electronic Journal Collections
The following list
contains collections of journals that may provide links to full text. Certain
restrictions, such as Carnegie Mellon subscribing to the print edition of the
journal, may apply. To obtain full-text from some journals, you may need to
have additional software such as Adobe Acrobat loaded on your machine. For a

- American
Chemical Society (ACS) Publications
Full-text of ACS journals and journal archives, including those that we do not
subscribe to at Carnegie Mellon. View articles in HTML or PDF format (Adobe
Acrobat). Also, view and download supplemental materials that are not available
in the ACS printed journals. Includes "Articles ASAP," which allows you to view individual articles that have been approved and are ready for publication. "Articles ASAP" (As Soon As Publishable) appear 2 to 11 weeks prior to their publication in print. (Carnegie Mellon users only)

This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals.
- Electronic
Collections Online
Access academic journals in many disciplines and from many publishers. If
Carnegie Mellon University Libraries own the journals, you may read and print
full-text articles online. If not, use the article citations to request articles
by interlibrary loan. (Carnegie Mellon users only)

E-journals search engine
- JSTOR
Backfiles of important academic journals. Titles under the category General
Science include Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London,
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Proceedings of the Royal
Society of London, and Science. JSTOR provides a search interface to journal
contents and a print helper application for printing articles. Instructions
for downloading and installing the print helper are displayed when you click "Print Article" in JSTOR. A laser printer is required for printing. (Carnegie
Mellon users only)

Web Editions
Access journals from Elsevier Science that Carnegie Mellon subscribes to in
print. Some titles are listed under Full Text Journals below. (Carnegie

InterScience
Browse the tables of contents and abstracts of all Wiley journals. If Carnegie
Mellon Libraries subscribe to the title you may view the full text in PDF
format. If Carnegie Mellon does not subscribe to the title you may view the
table of contents and recent abstracts only. Full text available for 1997
