An excellent, easily searchable subject guide to arts internet resources. Links are carefully selected by a team of librarians for site quality and content.AHDS Visual Arts (Arts and Humanties Data Service)
A rich archive of digital resources in the visual arts. There are additional sections in AHDS for peformance, archaeology, history, and literature/language/linguistics as well.World Wide Arts Resources
A vast meta-site of arts links; contains an especially long list of links to musems and galleries. Created in 1994 by World Wide Arts Resources Corporation.

One of the oldest web subject directories, Yahoo allows searching arts information by general topics.

Community Arts Network
Run by the non-profit organization Art in the Public Interest andthe Consortium for the Study of Theater and Community; promotes and documents international community based arts and art for social change in areas including education, politics, health, environmental protection and community regeneration. A growing site, it includes a monthly newsletter, discussion area, and an informative reading room of links, articles and essays. FineArt Forum Resource Directory
Events and news, exhibitions, artist information, organizations and institutions, newsgroups and miscellaneous visual arts links with a bias toward art and technology. Contains "Fineart Forum: Art and Technology Netnews". Driven by an international academic and organizational venture called the Art Science and Technology Network.

Art in the Public Interest
A non-profit organization founded in 1995 to promote socially conscious, community-based art practice. Co-directs the Community Arts Network; publishes API News online. Co-directors Linda Frye Burnham and Steven Durland published the highly acclaimed, but now discontinued journal High Performance. Highlights from the hey-day of the journal are published in their book, The Citizen Artist: 20 Years of Art in the Public Arena: An Anthology from High Performance Magazine 1978-1998.ArtsNet: Arts Management Information Service
