The Administrative Council was formed in 1909 as the campus governing body. In 1921 the name was changed to the Executive Board. The President of the University was the chairman of the Board. Other members included the Dean of each academic program, the chairman of the General Faculty Council, the Dean of Men and the Dean of Women, and other top administrative officials such as the Registrar. The Board had the responsibility to publicize and enforce school policies through communication with other campus organizations. The Board had several committees for studying a topic and making recommendations.
